FAQ

01 Why are only some Polymarket builders attributed to a named founder?

Most projects in the Polymarket Builders Program operate under pseudonyms or anonymous on-chain identities — common practice in DeFi and especially in a regulated product like prediction markets. Of the 380 total builders, 99 have at least one publicly-named operator, either through an official "About" page, a verified X/LinkedIn profile, a press release, or a CoinDesk/TechCrunch funding announcement. The other 281 builders may be solo operators, small anonymous teams, or larger firms that haven't disclosed their team publicly.

02 How is this data sourced?

Founder names come from three sources: (a) the project's own website or About page, (b) verified X/LinkedIn handles linked from the project, (c) third-party press coverage (CoinDesk, The Block, CoinTelegraph, TechCrunch, Decrypt). Each founder entry on this page links back to the project profile where you can see the original source. We don't include founders inferred from on-chain transaction patterns or domain WHOIS — only documented disclosures.

03 Why do some founders appear on multiple projects?

2 founders are attributed to more than one builder. Some of these are sibling builder codes — the same team operates two distinct surfaces with separate codes (e.g. Brian Gallagher's Parti.com runs both a consumer and an institutional code). Others are serial founders: same person started two separate Polymarket integrations at different times. The Multi-project section at the top of this page flags both cases.

04 Can I correct or add a founder entry?

Yes. Email [email protected] with the founder's name, role, the builder slug, and a public-source URL (project blog, verified X profile, news article, GitHub commit history). We update the index nightly along with the Polymarket leaderboard refresh.
